Goodman, Walwyn-Bent lead Aggies to first win

Stockton, Calif. - Cason Goodman scored his first career goal and Keegan Walwyn-Bent scored his first of the season to lead UC Davis (1-5-1) 2-1 over Pacific on Tuesday night.

After Pacific went ahead in the 33rd minute, Max Glasser found Goodman in the center of the box for a header that knotted the score at one. Keegan Walwyn-Bent gave UC Davis the lead for good in the 65th minute, corralling a ball played in from the far sideline by Ryan Dieter and firing into the upper left corner of the goal. It was Walwyn-Bent's first career game winner.

Glasser's assist gives him a team-leading four points on the season and was the eighth of his career.

The Aggies out-shot Pacific 13-11 on the night and eight to three in shots on goal. Charles Janssen picked up his first win of the season, making two saves and lowering his goals against average to 1.14. The redshirt sophomore has now allowed one goal over his last three games.

UC Davis face one more non-conference test in Santa Clara on Sunday, Sept. 24 before beginning the Big West portion of the schedule on Sept. 28 at home against Cal Poly.
