DAVIS, Calif. — The No. 6 UC Davis men's water polo team opened the 2022 Aggie Roundup with a tightly-contested 11-9 victory over No. 16 California Baptist at the Schaal Aquatics Center on UC Davis campus on Friday.
"CBU gave us everything we expected today," head coach
Daniel Leyson said. "We knew they would come to Schaal ready to play. We had some good moments, but overall, we need to play a more consistent game start to finish if we want to achieve our goals."
The Aggies improve to 2-0 at home and 5-1 overall on the season, becoming victors in the third straight match. The Lancers dropped to 6-3 overall on the season.

Aaron Wilson made nine saves en route to a 11-9 win in front of the home crowd.

Levi Murtaugh netted a pair of goals each in the match, sparking the offense that collectively shot .458 on the day. Murtaugh collected a team-high five points as well.

Holden Neach added some key insurance as the game's final goal to lift UC Davis to a 11-9 victory.
The Aggies wrap up play in the 2022 Aggie Roundup tomorrow when they take on No. 3 USC at 9:15 am PT and No. 11 Princeton at 6:00 pm PT.
