UC Davis earns 6-5 Walk-off Victory Over UCSD

DAVIS, Calif. --The UC Davis Aggies rallied to score four in the ninth inning and walked it off on a single off the bat of sophomore Jonah Henrickson to pick up the 6-5 victory over the UCSD Tritons Saturday.

Sophomore Kaden Riccomini (2-5) got the win out of the bullpen for UC Davis (5-28, ). The right-hander went five innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on six hits, allowing no walks and striking out six.

Offensively, the Aggies were paced by freshman Mark Wolbert, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a double, two walks and an RBI. Freshman Nick Leehey furnished a noteworthy performance at the plate as well, going 2-for-5 with an RBI. Junior Nathan Peng also chipped in for UC Davis, putting together one hit in five trips to the plate while adding an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 2-0, the Aggies first put runs on the board in the seventh inning. UC Davis scored twice, with one run coming across on Wolbert's single.

UCSD then broke the tied and took a 5-2 lead before UC Davis scored four runs in the bottom half of the ninth to grab the win, walking it off on an RBI single off the bat of Henrickson.
