DAVIS, Calif. – The UC Davis beach volleyball team earned three wins on Saturday to conclude its regular season. The Aggies opened their tripleheader with a 4-1 victory over Causeway rival Sacramento State and then downed Santa Clara, 4-1, and blanked San Francisco, 5-0, in the nightcap.

Every Aggie win on the day came in straight sets as the pairs of Lily Justine and Tabitha Mitchell and Rose Holscher and Ashlee Goycoochea earned multiple victories on the day. Justine and Mitchell went a perfect 3-0 in the sand on Saturday and improved to 5-1 on the season.

The pair of Holscher and Goycoochea enter the postseason 10-4, including an 8-2 clip in their last 10. Chelsea Maeglin and Colleen McGuire capped off the regular season with a team-leading 11 wins as a pair.

UC Davis will now head to the Big West Conference Championships. The tournament will begin on Friday, April 29 and be hosted by Cal Poly.
