2023: Competed in 30 out of 32 total regular and postseason matches for the Aggies… Playing at the third and second flights of the lineup… Teamed with Mia Olen for the team’s second-best overall record at 20-9 at the third and second flights of the lineup… At the No.3 spot the pair went 19-7, 1-2 at the No.2 spot… For the first time in their careers, Luly alongside Olen received a Big West Honorable Mention… Their record also won them the 2023 AVCA Top Flight Award… Started the season 8-0 and ended the season on a five-game win streak… With Olen she tallied two ranked set-wins over #7 Cal Berkeley and #10 Hawai'i… Individually, Luly was one of five Aggies to reach 20 set-wins with her 20-10 record.
2022: Competed in all 30 regular and postseason matches for the Aggies… Playing at the two's, three's and four’s… Luly had a 12-18 individual record going; 3-12 at the second flight, 7-5 at the third, and 2-1 at the fourth… She secured two ranked-set victories against #9 Hawaii (3/12, 3/25) and a set victory against Nebraska (3/12).
2021: Finished the season 6-21 overall alongside partner Heather Reed, splitting time between the top three positions in the lineup… Ended the year 0-4 at the No. 1 spot, 5-16 at No. 2, and 1-1 at No. 3… The five wins at the twos were a team high… Tied for the team lead alongside Reed and the pairing of Paloma Bowman and Colleen McGuire with five three-set matches on the year… Earned her first win of the year against CSUN on March 27 in three sets and added a second against Colorado Mesa in Arizona on April 3 in straight sets… Won in straight sets against San Jose State on April 11 and put together a three-match winning streak from April 18-24 with straight set wins at the twos against San Jose State and Sacramento State (twice).
2020: Appeared in all eight duals for the Aggies… Finished 5-3 overall during the shortened 2020 season, splitting time at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots in the lineup… Tied for the team individual lead in victories with teammates Heather Reed and Alexa Rockas… Posted a season-best three-match winning streak thanks to wins over Utah (2/29) and San Jose State (3/7) with Reed at No. 3 and a victory against Stephen F. Austin’s (3/12) twos with Paloma Bowman… Also won back-to-back matches against teams from Santa Clara (2/22) and Ottawa (2/22) at the No. 2 spot… Four of her five wins came in straight sets.
PACIFIC RIDGE SCHOOL ’19: Played three years of indoor volleyball and four seasons on the beach… Led the indoor team in kills as a junior in 2017, garnering team MVP accolades… Helped the Firebirds to a third-place CIF San Diego Section finish and a berth in the CIF state tournament as a junior.
PERSONAL: Parents are Robert and Stacie… Has a brother, Ryan… Played club for Wave VBC for 12 combined seasons — five indoors, seven beach… Owns 11 first-place finishes plus 38 second- and third-place performances in beach volleyball… Also placed fifth at the AVP First and AAU Pan Pacific 18U national tourneys… Chose UC Davis because “of its friendly, yet competitive, environment to practice and compete in.”
