SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – The UC Davis women's tennis team hit the road for its last non-conference road contest to complete the 2022 season as the Aggies took on NCAA Division III opponent, UC Santa Cruz on Friday. The Aggies defeated the Banana Slugs via D3 scoring, 9-0, Friday afternoon.
 
In the singles competition, UC Davis took down UC Santa Cruz in straight sets. Sara Tsukamoto blanked Sara Beckman, 6-3, 6-0. Yana Gurevich continued her strong season with a 6-1, 6-0, win over Natalie Sprenger. Olive Maunupau defeated Tanner Rowland, 6-2, 6-2.

Kristina Evloeva downed Julia Chiaradia Azzi, 6-1, 6-0, and Michelle Zell took down Angelina Powers, 6-0, 6-1, while Carly Schwartzberg defeated Daniela Christian, 6-1, 6-0.
 
In the doubles competition, Lauren Ko and Tsukamoto won their second straight doubles match, downing Sara Beckman and Natalie Sprenger in the #1 doubles match, 8-1. Gurevich and Maunupau won their #2 doubles match 8-0 over Ines Pelvang and Tanner Rowland. Carly Schwartzberg and Zell defeated Julia Chiaradia Azzi and Sophia Nguyen in the #3 doubles match 8-0.
 
The Aggies will return to action next Saturday as they complete their 2022 regular season schedule as they take on Causeway rival Sacramento State at the Mayra Welch Tennis Center. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
