2021: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE... BIG WEST CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... ALL-BIG WEST FIRST TEAM DOUBLES… ALL-BIG WEST SECOND TEAM SINGLES… Posted a 3-6 singles record, all nine matches were played at No. 1… Ended the season with victories in her last two singles matches… Won six of 11 doubles matches; every contest took place at No. 1… Every doubles match took place alongside Lauren Ko… Opened the season with consecutive doubles victories vs. UC Santa Barbara (2/20) and at Sacramento State (2/21)… Ended the season with another pair of doubles victories at UC Irvine (4/25) and at the Big West Championships vs. Hawai’i (4/29)… First singles win of ’21 took place at Sacramento State when she defeated Paige Alter in straight sets… Officially won her final two matches of the season, another three were unfinished, when she defeated Hawai’i’s Nikola Dolakova (4/11) and UC San Diego’s Sophie Pearson (4/24) in straight sets... Due to COVID-19, the Aggies did not compete in any fall events.

2019-20: ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE… BIG WEST ALL-ACADEMIC… BIG WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (Feb. 26)… Led the team with a 14-10 overall singles record, going 8-6 in dual matches and 4-2 in Big West play… Won six of last ten matches on court… Tied with Yana Gurevich to lead the Aggies with eight dual wins… Played all matches at No. 1 singles and doubles… Posted two notable victories over UC Santa Barbara’s Amit Lev-Ari… In the fall, Lev-Ari was ranked No. 124… Came back from 2-5 down in the first set to win 11 consecutive games in the spring against Lev-Ari… Also defeated Santa Clara’s Maddie Pothoff after being down 1-5 in the third set… Partnered with Lauren Ko to post team-best 13-7 overall doubles record, going 8-4 in duals and 5-1 in league play all at No. 1… Defeated Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara by identical 6-2 scores to help clinch both doubles points… First doubles point win over the Gauchos since 2014… Won four of last five matches with the last match going unfinished at 5-4 over South Dakota… In the fall, defeated Saint Mary’s No. 48 Danielle McIntyre/Mariia Kozyreva for first win over a nationally-ranked doubles team in UC Davis’ Division I history… Reached the semifinals of the Cal Invitational Blue Draw, and the Round of 16 at the ITA Northwest Regional… First pairing to reach the Round of 16 since 2015… Remainder of the spring dual season was canceled on Mar. 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2018-19: BIG WEST HONORABLE MENTION SINGLES… BIG WEST SECOND TEAM DOUBLES… BIG WEST ATHLETE OF THE WEEK (4/3)… BIG WEST COMMISSIONER'S HONOR ROLL (HONOR ROLL)… Compiled a 13-11 overall, 10-8 dual record, playing primarily at the No. 2 spot in the singles lineup… Strung together five consecutive wins between Mar. 29 and Apr. 13, while leading a set and 4-1 in two other matches that were unfinished during that span… Held a perfect 5-0 record in three set matches, improving her career three set record to 7-1… Posted wins over UC Irvine, CSUN, and UC Riverside in conference play… Went 3-1 in singles and 3-1 in doubles throughout spring break to earn first career Athlete of the Week award… Competed at No. 1 singles once, resulting in a split-set unfinished matchup against Utah State’s Alexandra Pisareva… In doubles, notched a 13-14 overall record with three different partners, and played with Kelsie Bryant during the dual season for a 9-11 record at the top of the lineup… Won five consecutive matches between March and April, including wins over Sacramento State, and Big West Conference foe Long Beach State… Went 4-2 in conference play to earn Second Team honors… Won the consolation draw at the St. Mary’s Invitational with Bryant… Also partnered with Shirley Hall and Kristina Breisacher. 

2017-2018: Joined the team in the winter of 2018… Finished her debut collegiate season with a 13-7 overall record and 4-3 conference singles record….  Posted a perfect 11-0 singles record at No. 5, leading the team in most wins at a single lineup position… Won nine of her first 12 matches as an Aggie… Out of the 13 total wins, 10 of them were in straight sets… Went 11-3 overall and 5-1 in conference play for doubles… Remained undefeated at No. 3 doubles with partner Nikita Pradeep with a 4-0 record… Recorded an eight-win doubles streak from Feb. 28 to Apr. 15… Rounded out her doubles play with a win at the No. 3 spot over a Cal Poly duo at the Big West Conference tournament.

CLUB MED ACADEMICS ’17: Competed in tennis all four years… Won the Junior Masters when she was a freshman at the IMG Academy… Was ranked 500th in the ITF as a sophomore, and ranked 377th in the ITF her junior year…  Highest national ranking achieved in 2014 (29th)… Currently a 4-start recruit ranked 113th nationally and 3rd in Hawaii.

PERSONAL: Born in Ibaraki, Japan… Majoring in Design… Parents are Yoko and Masashi… Has two older sisters Sayo and Mai, and one older brother Shoyo.
