DAVIS, CALIF. – The UC Davis women's tennis team took down Utah State, 6-1, Monday afternoon from the Marya Welch Tennis Center. The win improves the Aggies to 8-6 on the season.

UC Davis seized the doubles point and then took five of the six singles matches to win, 6-1 despite the windy elements. Junior Yana Gurevich and Carly Schwartzberg won in straight sets.

Gurevich now has 11 singles wins on the season and is 9-2 in her last 11 matches while newcomer Arianna Stavropoulos has won four straight and sports eight wins in her last 11.

The Aggies will host Big West foe UC San Diego at home on Wednesday, March 23 at 11 a.m.
