Davis, Calif. - UC Davis suffered it's first defeat of the season Friday afternoon, falling 13-4 to Denver to open a two-game swing through Colorado. 

Mia Lawrence, Kendall Seifert, Regan Arkless and Lauren Hart each scored for UC Davis with Alex Agnew, Ella Brislin and Lawrence picking up assists. 

Lawrence and Siefert have now scored in all three games this season while Agnew, Brislin and Lawrence have assisted in all three. Friday marked both Arkless and Hart's second career goals. 

Denver jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first until Siefert's goal with 3:28 to go in the period made it 3-1. Denver responded by scoring four unanswered though and led 7-2 after Lawrence's even strength goal with six seconds until the break. The hosts scored four more in the third quarter before Arkless scored on a free position attempt and Hart scored to start the fourth. 

The Aggies (2-1) will finish out the trip at Colorado on Sunday before returning home to face Liberty and Stanford at home next week.
