DAVIS, Calif. — Freshman
Jade Light strung together a game-high 20 kills, but the Aggies dropped a five-set heartbreaker to Cal State Fullerton, 3-2, Thursday night at University Credit Union Center.

Dan Conners said. "We got to let it go and move on to Long Beach."
With just their second home loss of the season, the Aggies are now 3-6 in Big West play and 8-11 overall on the season.
Light carried the torch offensively with a game-high 20 kills on 52 swings while redshirt junior
Demari Webb followed behind with 16 kills.
Defensively, junior
Shira Lahav and sophomore
Olivia Utterback were tied with 20 digs apiece. Senior
Shkhinah Tindsley led the Aggies with five total blocks.
The Aggies got off to a very strong start, taking the opening set in commanding fashion, 25-10. UC Davis hit .393 in the first set with Light and Webb finding holes in the Cal State Fullerton defense early on.
The Titans would respond, taking a close second set by a 25-22 score before the Aggies captured a pivotal third set, 25-23, to hold a 2-1 set advantage.
For the fourth set, the visitors jumped out front early and didn't look back, winning the set, 25-18, and knotting the game up at two sets apiece.
The fifth and final set went back-and-forth until the final three points were secured by the Titans, taking the set and match by a score of 17-15.
The Aggies hit .249 for the match compared to .212 for the Titans.
