Davis, Calif. - Freshman
Sam Rhodes is this week's MPSF Female Athlete of the Week after her breakout performance in Saturday, Jan. 22's dual at Fresno State.
Rhodes won the 100 breast (1:04.89), 200 breast (2:19.33), and 200 IM (2:06.64) to lead the Aggies against the Bulldogs. Her 100 breast time was a collegiate PR by 31 hundredths of a second. It's Rhodes' first career Athlete of the Week award.
Rhodes and the Aggies only have one more dual meet on the docket for 2022, an MPSF home meet on Saturday against Pacific when UC Davis will also hold a senior day ceremony at the first break for its outgoing student-athletes. They'll then have two weeks to taper and peak for the MPSF Championships Feb. 16-19 in Los Angeles.
