Due to Yolo County Public Health guidelines and game day protocols, fans are unable to attend home events this season.
LA JOLLA, Calif. – UC Davis won the doubles round and five of six singles matches during Sunday's Big West Conference opener at UC San Diego to collect its fourth straight victory by defeating the Tritons, 6-1.
With a sweep of all three matches played throughout this past weekend's road swing through San Diego, the Aggies will return home with a 4-4 overall and 1-0 record against league teams. UC San Diego will continue its season at 0-3 and 0-1.

Mitchell Davis and
Andrei Volgin started the day with a 6-0 shutout over Marc Isaia and Cody Duong. Once
David Goulak and
Ivan Thamma pulled away to secure a 7-6 result against Daniel Traxler and Phillip Lan, securing their third doubles victory in a row in the process, UC Davis entered singles play leading 1-0.
What started with
Chethan Swanson continued with Volgin,
Arjith Jayaraman, and
Andras Necz as each earned a straight-set victory to help their team officially record a weekend sweep and a win in its inaugural league series of the season.
Even though he dropped the first set, Goulak rebounded by winning the next two to record the final team point of the day for the Aggies.
Swanson's victory was his first of the season, Jayaraman has now won four singles matchups in a row and leads all Aggies with five wins.
