DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis will continue its home-heavy start to the season when it hosts Pepperdine in a four-game series that starts with Friday's 2:30 p.m. series opener. Following Saturday's doubleheader, which begins at 11:30 a.m., the series will wrap-up on Sunday at 1 p.m. Since fans are unable to attend games at Phil Swimley Field, video streams and live stats are available for all four games between the Aggies and Waves.

After being swept in its series against UC Santa Barbara — two games were played on each team's diamond — Pepperdine lost a 16-8 shootout at UCLA before ending its five-game skid the following day with an 11-5 result at USC. The Waves collected its second win in as many days when they topped Cal State Fullerton last Sunday, 10-4, only to see Tuesday's rematch against the Trojans postponed due to inclement weather.

After falling to California Baptist by one run in each of its two previously played games, UC Davis is will look to bounce back in its first set of home games vs. the Waves since the 2009 season. In that series, which took place during the program's second year in the Big West, the Aggies won the series finale after opening that weekend with a pair of losses.

As is the case with the Aggies, Pepperdine will participate in its final series before league play this weekend since it will return to Northern California to open West Coast Conference action at San Francisco next week.

Following this week's series vs. the Waves, the Aggies will close their season-opening 18-game homestand against UC Irvine in the inaugural Big West series of the season for each squad.
