DAVIS, CA -- UC Davis shot 59 percent from the field and 55 percent from three as the Aggies rolled to an 81-40 win over UC Merced on Saturday afternoon at University Credit Union Center.
Chrisitian Anigwe led the way for UC Davis with 14 points, his fourth time in double figures this season. UC Davis put four players in double figures for the first time this season with Elijah Pepper, Ezra Manjon and Leo DeBruhl each adding 11. DeBruhl's 11 points and four rebounds were both career-highs as the freshman played a season-high 22 minutes.
Saturday's 81 points were a season-high as 11 of the 12 Aggies to see the court scored at least two points.
UC Davis out-rebounded the Bobcats 37-21 in Saturday's game, led by Anigwe's five boards.
The Aggies held UC Merced to 29.8 percent shooting from the field, including 23.5 percent from beyond the arc. Saturday's matinee was also the highest rebounding differential UC Davis has achieved this season at 37-21.
UC Davis had their first double-digit lead just 2:40 into the game at 10-0 and never looked back, leading by as much as 26 in the first half and heading into the break with a 42-18 lead.
The Aggies won't take the court again until after finals week on Dec. 14 when they travel to Corvallis to take on Oregon State.
