Ezra Manjon scored a career-high 27 points and UC Davis held firm down the stretch to hold off the Oregon State Beavers and win 71-64 in Corvalls, Ore. on Tuesday night.
The Aggies used a 6-0 run near the midway point of the second half to go up 50-37 but Oregon State fought back to keep the lead in single digits down the stretch. With the game on the line and the Aggies leading 67-62 with 43 seconds left,

Caleb Fuller on an inbounds play for a layup that made it a 67-62 game and all but clinched the win. Manjon added two free throws with 24 seconds left that put him over his previous career-high of 25 set on Nov. 25, 2020 and the Aggies left Oregon with a win over the defending PAC-12 Conference champions.
Trailing 28-30 heading into the locker room at the half, UC Davis came out firing the second half and built a 39-32 lead on the back of an 11-2 run in which six different Aggies scored.
Facing an Oregon State team with a size advantage, the Aggies dominated the paint and outscored Oregon State 40-26 under the basket.
Elijah Pepper pulled down 10 rebounds, the fourth time in his career he's recorded double-digit rebounds and the first time since Mar. 6, 2021 against Hawai'i.
Christian Anigwe continued to fill up the stat sheet on a routine basis scoring six points and adding five rebounds, an assist and three steals in 16 minutes of work. Tuesday marked the second straight game Anigwe has swiped three steals and he's one of three Aggies along with Manjon and Pepper who have more than 10 through eight games.
The Aggies wound up holding Oregon State to 43 percent shooting, including 38 percent in that pivotal second half. They also matched a season-low with 12 turnovers, the first time hitting that mark since establishing it against Eastern Washington on Nov. 12. After shooting 50.9 percent from the field on Tuesday, UC Davis is shooting 53 percent over it's last two games and in the midst of a three-game winstreak that has them at 5-3.
UC Davis will make a much shorter trip to Stockton to face Pacific on Sunday before closing out its non-conference schedule on Dec. 22 at home against Portland.
