BURLINGTON, Vt. - UC Davis opened the first leg of an America East Conference road trip through the northeast on Friday morning, falling 4-0 to host Vermont. 

Senior Madison Theodore took five shots with one on goal, giving her a shot on the cage in nine of the Aggies' 11 games this season. Junior Milou Korthouwer also registered multiple shots with three, putting one on goal. The Aggies also threatened with shots on goal from seniors Brooke Sanchez and Shea Gavin.

Three Aggie shots came in the final four minutes on Friday with Korthouwer and Sanchez both forcing saves in the final period. 

The Aggies (5-6, 1-3) will travel to face No. 25 Maine on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. PDT before returning for their final two home games of the 2021 season against Cal and Stanford on Oct. 17 and 24 respectively.
