2022: 2022 America East All-Conference Second Team... Started and appeared in all 15 games, as a forward for the Aggies… Sanchez led the Aggies in points with 14 and goals with seven… Her first goal on the season came in a 2-5 loss to Michigan State (9/2)... Her next two-goals came in a 4-2 win against Bellarmine (9/4)... Sanchez scored her fourth and fifth goals of the year in a loss against UMass Lowell (9/18) and CAL (9/30)... Her sixth came in a 3-1 win against Bryant (10/7)... With her final goal of the season in a 2-3 loss against New Hampshire (10/30)... Sanchez fired 19 shots on the season, 13 of which were on goal to lead the team.
2021: Appeared in all 16 games for the Aggies… Named a starter in 15 of 16 games… Three assists on the year put her third among Aggie teammates in assists with a career high of two coming in the season finale against Monmouth (10/31)… Recorded lone goal for the Aggies in the season opener against Liberty (8/27)… Had a shot attempt in all but one game while posting a 0.560 shot on goal percentage.
2020-21: Will not lose a year of athletic eligibility due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 policy… Named a starter in 10 of 11 games… One of six players who finished tied for second with an assist… Scored a goal in the Aggies’ home finale against Stanford (4/9)… Earned an assist when her team hosted Cal (3/7) in its spring 2021 season opener… Five of her 10 shots were on goal… Took a season-high three shots at Maine (4/18)… Set another season high when both of her attempts at New Hampshire (3/21) were on cage.
2019: Appeared in all 17 games for UC Davis... Scored first goal of the season on Oct. 20 against No. 18 Stanford... Also registered shots against Quinnipiac (9/1), No. 25 Michigan State (9/6), Central Michigan (9/10) and Ohio (10/26)... Four of her five shots on the season were on goal.
2018: AMERICA EAST ALL-ROOKIE SELECTION… AMERICA EAST ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL SELECTION… Competed in all 19 games, making 12 starts… Finished the season tied for third on the squad with six points… Ranked second on the team with a .727 on-goal shooting percentage, placing eight of her 11 shots on-cage… Scored the game-winner in the Aggies’ 3-0 shutout win over Davidson on Sept. 9 — her first career goal as an Aggie… Also scored in back-to-back appearances against Central Michigan (9/21) and Ball State (9/24)…Recorded a season-high two shots on goal against Ohio and Central Michigan.
SAN PASQUAL HS '18: Four-year letter winner as one of her team’s forwards… Four-year member of the honor roll… Helped San Pasqual High School to three consecutive Avocado West League titles from 2015 to 2017… Rookie of the Year Award recipient as a freshman… An All-CIF first team selection and Avocado West League MVP during her senior season, Sanchez also recorded 34 goals and nine assists, was voted team MVP, and earned her team’s leadership award in 2017… Also competed on the varsity softball team for three years, earning Rookie of the Year as a freshman and Offensive Player of the Year as a sophomore… During her junior season, Sanchez took a break from softball to compete on the San Pasqual HS track team… Competed for the RUSH Field Hockey club team from 2016-2018 based out of San Diego, Calif.
PERSONAL: Born in San Diego, Calif… Parents are Davina and Ricardo… Has three older siblings, Alex, Julia, and Marilynn… Majoring in marine and coastal science… Lists Tony Gwynn as her sports hero… Lists hiking, snorkeling, traveling, listening to music, and paddle boarding as her favorite hobbies… Career plans include studying coastal and marine sciences to help protect and preserve our local coasts.
