West Long Branch, N.J. - Sophomore
Jordan Engdahl scored twice to lead UC Davis as the Aggies fell 7-2 to Monmouth in their season finale on Sunday in New Jersey.
With her goal in the second period, Engdahl doubled her season total and later added on off a penalty corner that was handled by seniors
Brooke Sanchez and
Audrey Matthew to give her a career-high three goals on the season.
With her assist on Engdahl's first goal, Sanchez set a new career-high for assists in a season and finishes the year with three. Matthew also enjoyed a career year in 2021, finishing with five assists to eclipse her previous high of two in 2019.
UC Davis finishes the season 6-10 and 1-7 in conference play as the Aggies played an expanded America East Conference schedule for the second time in program history.
The Aggies will lose eight seniors to graduation after the season but return the likes of sophomore
Lizzy Tedrow (four goals, one assist), senior
Milou Korthouwer (two goals, two assists) and Engdahl.
