Aggies end season with sweep of ECAC Jumping Seat awards

Davis, Calif. - Sabin Marquardt and Keely Laughlin swept MOPs against Lynchburg on Saturday and on Tuesday made it a sweep of Eastern College Athletic Conference Jumping Seat Rider of the Week awards when the two were honored for their Flat and Fences performances respectively. 

Marquardt and Laughlin's awards are the eighth and ninth weekly honors for UC Davis this season and the fourth straight competition week the Aggies have picked up a conference award. Including monthly awards, UC Davis collected 11 ECAC awards throughout the regular season. 

Against Lynchburg, Laughlin earned one of two UC Davis Fences points with an 82 on Gracie for a 17-point win and Fences MOP, the fourth time this season she has scored at least 80 points.

Marquardt gave the Aggies a sweep of MOPs on Saturday with a 73-47 win on Cappo in Flat. The decorated senior ended the regular season having earned a Flat score of at least 70 points in six of UC Davis' nine meets.

With the regular season concluded, the Aggies have turned their attention to the ECAC Championships which will run from March 26 to 28.
