Monterey Park/Mission Viejo, Calif. - The Aggies wrapped up a four-day stay in southern California on Saturday night with with a trio of individual second place finishes and held in fourth place in the team standings.
Jamie Pincin had one of the swims of the day for the Aggies in the 100 Free final. After dipping under 50 seconds at 49.90 in the prelims, Pincin held on to her second place qualifying place and swam 49.81 for second in the final.
Pincin's time is a PR and second all-time on the school record list as she now owns two of the top three 100 Free times in UC Davis history.
Mia Facey broke through in the 'B' final for a new season-best by almost three seconds to win that heat in 50.62. Joining Facey in that heat was Anna Lee, who swam identical season-bests of 51.99 in the morning and evening.
After finishing 6th in the 1650 Free with a new PR of 17:08. 28, Olivia Smith went on to take third in the 200 Fly in 2:01.13. That lifetime PR swim is also the fourth best 200 Fly in UC Davis history.
Ashley Ma set a new lifetime PR of 2:02.35 for fifth in that same final. Amanda Wilson improved her season-best to 2:04.18 to round out the Aggies in the 'A' final.
Jay Jay Eaton swam in the 'B' final and went 2:05.98 after setting a new season-best of 2:04.56 in the prelims. Cora McClelland joined Eaton in the 'B' final, swimming 2:08.94.
Aggie divers ended competition at the Marguerite Aquatics Center in Mission Viejo with a bang as well with Kendall Menard and Katie Truong tying for second with identical 235.85 scores. They now share the school record on the platform.
Taylor Hornberger got on the all-time top five list with a score of 2:13.15 but every Aggie diver in the platform final set a new best mark. London Christensen scored 2:09.30, Alisha Miller 2:02.85, and Reanna Agah 186.35.
In that 1650 Free, Kathryn Bockman smashed her lifetime PR by six seconds to swim 17:13.13 for eighth.
In the 200 Back, Mia Cunnan set a new team-leading mark by swimming 2:02.19 in the 'B' final. Ashleen O'Brien set a new PR of 2:04.55 in the morning and also beat her previous best before this week in the 'C' final with a 2:05.08 swim. Olivia Greenberg came within .5 seconds of her PR and set a new season-best 2:05.72 but did not make the finals.
In the 200 Breast, Kyla Leacox took over the team lead with a 2:18.04 swim in the morning prelims and later swam 2:19.37 in the 'A' final. Dani Fasan swam 2:23.68 in the 'C' final.
UC Davis capped the meet by obliterating the next best team time in the 400 Free Relay with Pinyin, Facey, Anna Lee and Leacox swimming 3:22.59.
