IN THE POLLS: Neither UC Davis, nor Long Beach State, are ranked nationally entering this week's games.

ABOUT LONG BEACH STATE: The Beach enters the week with a 6-9 overall record and a 1-1 mark in Big West play after splitting with Cal Poly (W, 72-69) and Cal State Fullerton (L, 69-65) last week... Long Beach State is 1-6 on the road this season, losing its last three dating back to a 54-46 win at Santa Clara on Dec. 6... Junior Shanaijah Davison leads a trio of players in double figures, averaging 14.1 ppg... Sophomore Justina King (12.5 ppg) and sophomore Ma'Qhi Berry (10.2 ppg) join her in double figures, with Berry leading all regulars shooting 50 percent from the field.

SERIES NOTES: Long Beach State leads the all-time series with UC Davis by a 18-17 count, but the Aggies edge ahead with a 15-10 advantage in the series as a Division I program... UC Davis has won the last four meetings between the two programs, sweeping the regular season series in each of the last two years... The Aggies have won the last two meetings at The Pavilion by an average of 25 points and are 11-6 at home against The Beach dating back to the first meeting in 1971... UC Davis' 30-point win over Long Beach State in 2018 is the program's largest margin of victory in the history of the series.

ONE ENDS, ANOTHER ROLLS ON: Although UC Davis' 14-game Big West Conference winning streak came to a close at UC Riverside to open the league schedule, the Aggies extended another mark with their win on Saturday against Hawai'i. Thanks to its 13-point triumph over the Rainbow Wahine, UC Davis has now won 23 consecutive home conference contests dating back to 2017, with its last defeat coming against Long Beach State on Jan. 21 of the 2016-17 season.

FUTURE AGGIE DUO NAMED McDONALD'S ALL-AMERICAN GAMES NOMINEES: UC Davis women's basketball signees Mazatlan Harris and Bria Shine earned nominations for the 2020 McDonald's All-American Games on Tuesday, two of 31 players from the state of California to make the list of girls high school standouts from across the country. This year's event will be hosted at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, on April 1. It will be the 19th annual girls game, which was first held at Madison Square Garden in New York in 2002. Harris, a 6-foot-2 forward, is currently averaging 11.9 points and 10.0 rebounds per game through the first 14 games of her senior season, shooting 48 percent from the floor and adding 31 blocked shots for the Dons of Cathedral Catholic HS in San Diego. Shine, a 6-foot-1 guard, is averaging 12.0 ppg and 7.6 rpg, to go along with 2.3 assists and 3.4 steals per game for the Falcons of Christian Brothers HS in Sacramento through 12 games thus far this year.

HOME IS WHERE THE WINS ARE: Five of the Aggies' six victories this season have come at The Pavilion, averaging 74.3 ppg and shooting .441 from the floor, while holding opponents to just 61.3 ppg and .350 from the field. Compare that to the road, where UC Davis is averaging 66.8 ppg to the opposition's 72.8 ppg, shooting .396 to the opposition's .441. Standing 5-2 at home this season, the Aggies are a combined 43-6 at The Pavilion over the last three-plus years and have posted a winning home mark in each of the last six seasons.

ALL SHE DOES IS WIN: Head Coach Jennifer Gross enters this week ranked fourth in the program's history in career coaching wins with 162, needing just two more to match Pam Gill-Fisher (1975-79, 81-86, 87-88), who accumulated 164 wins in 12 seasons. The UC Davis alumna has won nearly 61 percent of her games since taking over for the winningest coach in the program's history -- Sandy Simpson (251 victories) -- for the 2011-12 season.

FEW AND FAR BETWEEN: When the Aggies held Hawai'i to just four points as part of a decisive 23-2 run over the second and third quarters on Saturday, it marked the second fewest (tied) points allowed in a single quarter by the UC Davis defense since the NCAA returned to the quarter system in 2015-16. The total trailed only the three points surrendered to Cal State Monterey Bay in the fourth quarter in 2015.

IN THE MARGINS: The 13-point victory over the Rainbow Wahine was the Aggies' largest margin of victory against a Division I opponent this season and trails only the 64-point win over William Jessup for the largest overall this year.

ON THE REBOUND: UC Davis bounced back in a big way on the boards after falling in its Big West opener, grabbing a season-high 46 rebounds in the win over Hawai'i -- the most since the Aggies finished with 48 against UC Santa Barbara in an 80-44 win back on March 9 of last season. A total of 30 of those 46 rebounds came in the second and third quarters -- 15 in each to tie the team mark for the most in a single-quarter this year.

WINDEX WOMEN: UC Davis is one of only two schools (UC Riverside being the other) with three players ranked among the top 15 in the Big West in rebounding entering this week's games: Cierra Hall (7th - 6.9 rpg), Kayla Konrad (10th - 6.1 rpg), and Sage Stobbart (t14th - 5.2 rpg).

HELPING HANDS: The Aggies posted an assist on nearly 91 percent of their made baskets against Hawai'i, finishing with 19 helpers on 21 buckets in the win -- 14 of those coming off the hands of Katie Toole (career-high five), Kayla Konrad (tied career high with five), and Cierra Hall (tied season high with four). It's the second-highest percentage of the year, trailing only the 91.3 percent against Portland State, when UC Davis finished with 21 assists on 23 makes.

MMMM... TURNOVERS: Apple? Cherry? Basketball flavored? No matter your taste, the Aggies have done well at keeping the ball in the hands of their own, turning the ball over only eight times after committing only six miscues at UC Riverside two days earlier -- the latter matching the program's Division I single-game record. The last time that happened came during the 2010-11 season when UC Davis finished with six turnovers against CSUN and eight against UC Santa Barbara.

ROLLIN' IN THE DEEP: The Aggies enter the week with a Big West-best 141 made three-pointers (35 better than second-place UC Santa Barbara and CSUN) and 9.40 per game ranking among the top 50 in the nation in both categories at No. 13 and No. 7, respectively, entering the week.

DEEP FROM DEEP: Entering Thursday's clash with Long Beach State, UC Davis features four of the Big West's top seven three-point shooters -- including three of the top four: Katie Toole (1st), Makaila Sanders (2nd), Evanne Turner (4th), and Mackenzie Trpcic (5th).

BOMBS AWAY: UC Davis has hit double digits from beyond the arc in each of its last four games, six of its last seven, and eight times overall.

PLAYING THE PERCENTAGES: The Aggies' defense limited Hawai'i to .286 shooting in their win on Saturday -- the lowest by a UC Davis Division I opponent since UC Irvine hit just .250 from the floor in last year's Big West Tournament semifinals.

THE RIGHT TOOLE FOR THE JOB: Coming off an 18-point performance against Hawai'i on Saturday, senior Katie Toole continued the blistering start to her final collegiate season last week, combining for 30 points and in double figures for the 14th and 15th straight games. Toole -- who scored a total of 50 points in 23 games a season ago -- enters the week ranked second in the league in scoring (15.6 ppg), while also standing in the top 10 in the Big West in points (3rd - 234), field goal percentage (2nd and No. 40 in the nation at .552), field goals made (3rd - 90), three-point percentage (1st - .578), and three-pointers made (t5th - 26).

CAROM QUEEN: The holder of three of the team's six double-digit rebounding games this season following her 11-rebound performance against Hawai'i, junior Cierra Hall continues to pace the Aggies on the glass, leading the team with 103 rebounds -- 45 of which have come on the offensive glass (second in the league) -- and 6.9 rpg overall, placing her seventh in the Big West entering the week. The cell biology major's 456 career rebounds strengthens her hold on seventh place on the school's Division I career list, with 85 boards to make up in order to catch Sydnee Fipps (2011-15) for sixth.

2020 VISION: Sophomore Makaila Sanders is seeing the basket really well to start the new year, finishing in double figures in each of her first three games to start 2020, following up her career-high 19 points against William Jessup with 11 more at UC Riverside and 15 on Saturday against Hawai'i. In that span, the Sacramento native has shot .531 (17-for-32) from the field and 50 percent (10-for-20) from beyond the arc.

HIGH FIVE: Sanders' 15 points against Hawai'i all came from three-point range, finishing 5-of-7 for the game and becoming the fourth Aggie to hit a quintet of three pointers in a single game this season, joining Evanne Turner (at Stanford), Nina Bessolo (vs. William Jessup), and Mackenzie Trpcic (at UC Riverside).

SWAT TEAM: Thanks to its three swats on Saturday against Hawai'i, UC Davis has now posted at least one blocked shot in 66 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 11, 2018, against UC Riverside. The Aggies rank fourth in the Big West with 44 blocks and 2.93 blocks per game entering this week's contests.

DIALED IN: UC Davis has made a three-pointer in 509 consecutive games dating back to Feb. 15, 2003, at Cal State San Bernardino. Since then, the Aggies have shot .350 (3,534-for-10,088) from beyond the arc.

NO REST FOR THE WEARY: UC Davis' non-conference opponents have had ample time to ramp up to face the Aggies. Not counting the season-opener against Montana State, UC Davis' opponents have had an average of 7.3 days off inbetween games before facing the Aggies, while UC Davis has had just 4.5 days to prep for its next foe. Aside from the 13 days of preparation for William Jessup, Pepperdine had 11 days, Saint Mary's and Boston University each had nine days, while Portland State and Northern Arizona each had a full week. UC Davis has had at least a week to prepare for an opponent only twice this year (Minnesota and Stanford).

MINUTE WOMEN: UC Davis has seven players averaging better than 20 minutes per game this season -- led by Katie Toole's 28.5 minutes per contest -- showcasing depth that hasn't been seen since the 2015-16 season when the Aggies finished the year with seven players averaging better than 20 minutes per.

MILESTONE WATCH: Bessolo is the closest active Aggie to the 1,000 career point milestone, entering this week with 761 points, looking to become the 21st player in program history to achieve the feat after scoring 287 points en route to All-Big West honorable mention honors a season ago. With a minimum of 15 games remaining on the schedule, Bessolo would have to average 15.9 ppg over that span to reach the threshhold.

THE HIGH CIERRA: Hall's 32-point, 13-rebound, outburst against Boston University marked a career-high scoring night for the Cypress, Calif., native, etching her name into the record books in the process. In addition to being the second 30-point game by an Aggie this year (teammate Katie Toole had 30 at Saint Mary's), Hall's 32 points rank in a tie for eighth in a single game in school history and fourth in the program's Division I history. In addition, her 13 rebounds are tied for the fourth-highest single-game total in the program's Division I history, matching her career high set last year against Sacramento State.

HISTORIC FINISH TO RING IN 2020: UC Davis' 64-point win over William Jessup marked the program's largest margin of victory in the Division I era and the ninth-largest all-time, posting its largest margin since an 84-point win over Patten College in 1996. Wednesday's margin topped the Aggies' 55-point win over Cal State Monterey Bay in 2015-16 for the best since officially becoming a Division I member in 2007-08.

BESSOLO BOMBING AWAY: The Hayward, Calif., enters the week with 144 made three-pointers for her career -- good for ninth on the school's Division I career chart (Kourtney Eaton is eighth with 152) and stands just 11 away from breaking into the all-time top 10. Her five makes from beyond the arc against William Jessup set a new career mark, besting her previous career high of four accomplished nine other times in her career.

SHARING IS CARING: UC Davis has posted more assists than its opponents in every game but three this season. The Aggies, who posted a season-high 22 against William Jessup (the most since dishing out 28 against Dominican on Dec. 29 last year), rank No. 76 in the NCAA in assists (235) and No. 52 in assists per game (15.7 apg), while ranking second in the Big West in the latter, entering this week.

SEASON OF GIVING...: Junior guard Mackenzie Trpcic is a giver. Her 72 assists and 4.80 assists per game entering the week rank second in the Big West, and No. 63 and No. 62, respectively, in the NCAA in those categories. It's not uncharted territory for the Hamilton, Ontario, native, who finished her sophomore year at Albany No. 14 in the nation in assists per game (6.47) following a school sophomore season record 207 helpers in 2017-18 -- which also ranked No. 15 in the country at the end of the year.

DEPTH CHARGED: When the starters leave the floor, the Aggies depth has picked them up this season -- including a season-high 51-point boost on Jan. 1 against William Jessup, outscoring the Warriors' reserves by a, 51-1, count. UC Davis' bench has averaged 29.7 ppg over its last six contests, and 23.3 ppg overall this season to just 16.2 ppg for the opposite bench. The 51 bench points against William Jessup are the most in the program's Division I era, besting the previous high of 49 set against CSUN in 2009-10 and matched against Sacramento State in 2016-17.

#STATSINCREDIBLE: The Aggies' 16 makes from beyond the arc against William Jessup are the most in the Big West this season, while the 38 field goals against the Warriors and .593 three-point percentage are the second-highest in the league... The 13 three-pointers at Northern Arizona are also tied for the second-highest total in a game this year in the league... The 21 makes from the line against Sacramento State are tied for the second-most in a game... Hall's 11 makes from the line against Boston University are tied for the most in a game in the conference... Hall is one of six players in the league to score more than 30 points this year, a list which also includes teammate Katie Toole, who had 30 at Saint Mary's... Toole's 12 makes from the field at Saint Mary's are tied for the second-highest single-game total in the Big West.
