A throng of UC Davis student-athletes made what is now the second-annual Aggie EVO road trip to Silicon Valley, visiting Waymo, Google Cloud and Levi's Stadium on Friday.
Alphabetically, the Aggies in attendance comprised Jaleah Calvillo (track & field), Amanda Chau (diving), Carson Crawford (football), Shannon Cross (lacrosse), Drake Foote (track & field), Woojin Gallo (golf), Nil Giraldez (tennis), Blake Hannah (baseball), Sydney Holmes (track & field), Matt Hyman (football), Mitch Iwahiro (tennis), Laura Lampron (swimming), Sadye Peschke (track & field), Renata Saenz (swimming), Ivan Thamma (tennis) and Dylan Wood (soccer).
Former baseball player and mechanical engineer Justin Andrade hosted the group at Waymo's office at the Mountain View-based Google X campus. Aggie football alumnus Khalid Jones joined his Google Cloud colleagues Aaron Illathu and Danielle LaMarche for insight on the hiring process. Finally, Aggie alum Sam Sugarman gave a tour of Levi's Stadium while sharing his story on entering the world of stadium operations.
