DAVIS, Calif. – As the 2021-22 academic year reaches the finish line, UC Davis will highlight its graduating student-athletes during an all-day celebration known as Aggie Launch Day – one of Aggie EVO's signature events of the year.

The third-annual Aggie Launch Day will begin on Thursday, June 9, and take place at UCDavisAggies.com with a showcase of senior class highlights, graphics and feature stories designed to spotlight student-athletes' academic success, on-field accomplishments and post-graduate plans.
 
"The mission of the Aggie EVO System is helping student-athletes better know and navigate the World of Work in order to give them the best possible chance of a successful launch after graduation," said Michael Lorenzen, Executive Director of Aggie EVO.
 
In place for five years now, the Aggie EVO System is a multi-faceted career-path enhancer that focuses on preparing student-athletes for success in the real world upon graduation. The Aggie EVO program helps student-athletes bolster their professional skills through programming that combines networking events and real-world experience earned through internships, mentorships, and experiential learning opportunities.

From the moment they arrive to the UC Davis campus, Aggie EVO presents student-athletes with opportunities to create unique relationships and enjoy experiences by interacting with employers and professionals from a wide variety of fields, including opportunities that may have been unknown to undergraduates.
 
These opportunities allow student-athletes to put their best foot forward as they prepare for their future careers.
