OPENING TIP: After easing into the Big West Conference schedule with two games during the first two full weeks of league play, the UC Davis women's basketball team picks things up quickly this week, hosting two of the conference's top teams in a pair of doubleheaders at The Pavilion. The Aggies open against Cal State Fullerton on Thursday (Jan. 17) at 5 p.m., before welcoming league-leading UC Irvine on "Alumnae Day" Saturday (Jan. 19) at 2:30 p.m. Both games precede men's contests against UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly on those respective days.

• All fire and law enforcement personnel, including EMTs and first responders, can receive complimentary tickets for both of this week's doubleheaders by showing their badge or ID at The Pavilion's box office on game day
• Saturday's doubleheader will be Golden1 "Fight Student Hunger Night," where fans will receive two raffle tickets with a donation of canned of non-perishable items to the food drive in the lobby of The Pavilion to benefit the ASUCD Pantry. Prizes will be announced at halftime of the men's game

ABOUT THE TITANS: Cal State Fullerton enters the week with a 9-5 overall record and a 1-0 mark in Big West play following a four-point win at home over Hawai'i last week... The Titans have won two straight -- and seven of their last eight -- surpassing their win total from all of last year (8-21)... Senior Daeja Smith and sophomore Raina Perez share the team lead in scoring at 13.8 ppg, while Smith, who shoots .563 from the field, paces the team on the glass, averaging 9.7 rpg... Fullerton is 4-2 away from home, winning its last two road contests, but has not played away from the friendly confines of Titan Gym since an early December trip to New York.
ABOUT THE ANTEATERS: UC Irvine enters the week with a 12-2 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in Big West play to lead the league... The Anteaters travel to UC Riverside on Thursday (Jan. 17) before heading north to face UC Davis... UC Irvine has won three straight, opening conference play with wins over Cal Poly and CSUN to start the season... The Anteaters are 4-1 away from home, suffering their only loss at nationally ranked Oregon on Dec. 21... Sophomore Jordan Sanders leads the team in scoring at 20.4 ppg and rebounding at 7.0 rpg, while shooting .487 from the field... Lauren Saiki (12.3 ppg) and Andee Ritter (12.2 ppg) are also in double figures.
SERIES NOTES: UC Davis leads the all-time series with Cal State Fullerton by an 18-10 count dating back to the 2004-05 season... The Aggies have won the last eight meetings with the Titans dating back to a 65-62 loss at The Pavilion on Feb. 13, 2014... UC Davis is 7-7 against Fullerton at home, having won the last four meetings at The Pavilion following a four-game winning streak by the Titans in Northern California... UC Davis leads the all-time series with UC Irvine, 27-8, dating back to the 1973-74 season... The Aggies have won the last seven straight meetings with the Anteaters dating back to a 72-61 defeat in Irvine on March 7, 2015... UC Davis is a combined 12-4 at home against UCI, winning the last four meetings between the two at The Pavilion.
