DAVIS, Calif. - The UC Davis women's tennis team bumps both their dual season wins and their Big West Conference wins to 12 and to five, respectively, after defeating Cal State Fullerton's team, 4-3, at the Marya Welch Tennis Center on Wednesday morning.

The Aggies took the early lead in the dual after winning the doubles matches at the No. 3, and then the No. 2 position. Playing at the No. 3 spot was Aggie duo Kelsie Bryant and Isabella von Ebbe, who defeated Danielle Pam and Luxizi Meng, 6-1, while Nikita Pradeep and Sara Tsukamoto teamed up to seal the doubles point after besting Genevieve Zeidan and Masako Makiba, 6-4.

Although the Aggies entered singles play with the 1-0 advantage, both teams fought for the team win up until the last singles match of the day. The Titans pushed through to temporarily take the lead after winning the first two singles matches; however, freshman Shirley Hall managed to get the match back to a tie with her three-set win over Caisey Lee Emery.

At a 2-2 tie, the visiting team found an opportunity to steal the lead again with their third singles win of the day at the No. 1 position; however, Cal State Fullerton's lead was short-lived as Pradeep, who still remains undefeated in singles play this season, garnered a straight-set win over Karla Portalatinm 7-5, 6-4, while von Ebbe clinched the 4-3 UC Davis victory following her three-set win at the No. 5 position.

The UC Davis women's tennis team makes a quick turnaround in competition play as they prepare to host Big West Conference school UC Irvine on Thursday morning.
