Brianna Karsseboom each tallied 12 kills and combined for .385 hitting, while freshman middle blocker
Josie Ough hit .500 with a team-leading four blocks, boosting UC Davis to a 25-16, 25-20, 25-16 sweep of Cal State Fullerton in Big West Conference women's volleyball action at the Pavilion Saturday afternoon.
The Aggies improve to 11-9 for the year and 3-5 in conference. The Titans fall to 6-14 overall and remain winless in Big West play at 0-6.
Karsseboom committed just one hitting error on 26 swings toward a .423 success rate, while Allen had a 12-3-26 attacking chart for a .346 average. Ough had eight kills on 12 total attempts for her .500 success rate. Sophomore setter

Malia Bolko matched Bowman's match high of 11 digs.
For the Titans, Haley Carmo had eight kills, a .583 hitting percentage, and three of her team's five total blocks.
NOTES & HIGHLIGHTS
 • UC Davis largely controlled the match at the service line, despite not serving up an ace until the second set... Freshman
Jane Seslar's run boosted the Aggies to an initial 9-5 start, while Allen stayed at the service line for nine unanswered points to establish a 24-15 set point in the first... Seslar then served up three straight aces to give UC Davis an early 8-4 lead to the second.
 • The Aggies never trailed in the third, with Bowman serving up four straight points and the team's seventh ace of the match... Karsseboom and Allen had nine kills between them in the finale, helping UC Davis to a team average of .344 (14-3-32).
 • UC Davis' overall team hitting average of .305 marks its highest since starting the year with .366, .354 and .363 clips in the first three matches of the season.
 • The Aggies honored their team alumni with a prematch reception, and dedicated the event to the memory of Gary Colberg, the former UC Davis Campus Recreation director and volleyball pioneer... The Bowman family, who had a setter on each team, are long-time family friends with the Colbergs... Debby Colberg coached at Five Starz, for which Paloma and Nastassja Bowman both played club ball.
