• 2017 Big West Conference All-Freshman Team
2018: Played in all 28 matches (96 sets) with 14 starts... Generally platooned with senior Maddie Merlino in team's 6-2 system.. Finished with 417 assists (4.34 per set) and shared team lead with 27 aces (0.28)... Also provided 185 digs on defense... Notched season-best 35 assists at UC Santa Barbara (9/29), helping team hit .251 and score five-set victory... Had eight matches with double-figured digs, including season-best 16 vs. Long Beach State (10/25).
2017: Played in all 30 matches, making 16 starts and totaling 99 sets... Split time with Maddie Merlino as part of team’s 6-2 system... Led Aggies in assists with 611 (6.17 per set)... Also had 16 aces and 195 digs... Amassed season-best 57 assists vs. Long Beach State (10/7), helping team hit .285 in four-set win... Also had season bests of 3 aces and 4 blocks in that match.
CHRISTIAN BROTHERS HS ’17: Helped Falcons to consecutive Sac-Joaquin Section crowns... Three-time All-Capital Valley Conference selection in volleyball, including Player of the Year in 2015 and 2016... Switched from libero as a freshman to setter/RS from sophomore through senior seasons... Four-year high honors student... Played eight years of club ball for Five Starz VBC (Davis, Calif.), including final seasons under tutelage of former Aggie setter Sophia Mar... Earned all-tourney and MVP honors at Junior Nationals, propelling team to National division title in 2015.
PERSONAL: Born in Berkeley, Calif.... Majoring in international relations... Parents are David and Deborah Bowman... One of four siblings, along with Tatijana, Nastassja and Xavier... Lists Nastassja, now at Cal State Fullerton, among the best athletes she has ever faced... Lists Gary & Debby Colberg among her sports heroes... Note: UC Davis now has an annual match dedicated to Gary Colberg’s memory, scheduled vs. CSF to allow both Bowman sisters to participate.
