NAPA, Calif. - Senior Paige Lee fired an even-par 72 to lead UC Davis and hold a tie for 22nd place after the second round of action at the Silverado Showdown women's golf tournament at Silverado Resort & Spa Monday. The Aggies moved up to 14th place in the team race with a 302-stroke total for the day.

Lee enjoyed a key sand save on the par-3 seventh hole, then stuck her approach shot within tap-in distance for a birdie on 8 down her final stretch of the day. This is the fifth straight round that psychology major from Granite Bay High School has posted her team's low round. Aggie freshman Yoonhee Kim turned in a 2-over 74 to move nine places up the individual leaderboard into a tie for 54th place. She knocked down a birdie-4 on the 491-yard ninth hole to finish her second round. Two more first-years, Christine Danielsson and Rei Nakatani, carded respective scores of 77 and 79 on Monday to round out the team scoring. They hold shares of 59th and 79th place, while sophomore Samantha Hutchison finished with a 7-over 79 and 84th place. No. 2-ranked Andrea Lee of Stanford holds a slim lead for the individual medalist at 8-under 136 through 36 holes. She sits one stroke in front of UCLA's Lilia Vu and Northwestern's Hannah Kim. Stanford also leads the team competition thanks to a 12-under 276 on Monday. The No. 3 Cardinal are 17-under-par, five strokes ahead of No. 6 UCLA, which totaled 280 in the second round en route to its 564 total. The Silverado Showdown, played on the namesake resort's par-72, 6176-yard North course, features 10 teams ranked among the top 50 in Golfstat and Golfweek's NCAA Division I rankings.
