2019-20: Competed in six of the team’s seven regular season events for the Aggies, posting a pair of top-25 finishes… Ended the year with a 76.81 stroke average over 16 rounds, finishing with three rounds at even par or better… Closed out the year with a season-best tie for 14th at UC Davis’ own Gunrock Invitational as the team’s top finisher… Opened the tournament with a season-low 71 en route to an 11-over 227… Also finished in a tie for 18th during a shortened stroke play portion of the East-West Match Play Challenge, finishing with a 4-over 148.
2018-19: U.S. WOMEN'S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP PARTICIPANT... Earned her first career top-10 finish when she posted a 2-under 214, to finish sixth, at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational (9/10-11)... Competed in eight events throughout her junior season... posted four rounds at par or under... Carded a 70, the lowest round of her season, on two occasions: the opening round at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational and during stroke play at the East & West Match Play Challenge (9/16)... Ended the Westbrook Spring Invitational at 4-over, thanks to an even score and a 1-over result in her final two rounds.
2017-18: Competed in nine events throughout her sophomore season… Finished with an even score in the Stanford Intercollegiate’s (10/16-18) first round, her lowest result of the season during stroke play… Shot a 70 at the East-West Match Play (9/17-19), and was responsible for one of the Aggies’ two wins vs. Oregon State… Recorded consecutive rounds of 1-over, after opening with a 2-over 74 at the Westbrook Spring Invitational (2/25-26)… Shot 8-over at the Battle at the Rock (2/12-13) to help UC Davis win the tournament’s team title.
2016-17: Carded a bogey-free round of 5-under (67) on the final round of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational (9/12-13) to finish in a tie for 15th place out of 93 in her first collegiate tournament... Her five-under par was the team-leading low round of the year and her best performance of the season... She carried the momentum into the next weekend where her match victory at the East and West Match Play Challenge (9/18-20) to helped the Ags upset tournament host Michigan... Rallied from the first two rounds of the Peg Barnard Invitational (2/11-12) to card a team-best 1-under-par 70 to climb up 26 places on the individual leader board to finish in a tie for 15th place... Top Aggie finisher at the Westbrook Spring Invitational (2/26-27), recording a 1-under 71 in the third round to finish with 217 total and tied for 19th overall our of 76... Following conference play, Kim posted a 5-under-par 67 to finish 10th at the U.S. Women's Amateur qualifying tournament, and advance to the championships.
DOUGHERTY VALLEY HS '16: Diablo Foothill Athletic League MVP as a senior after winning all-league first-team accolades the previous two years... Won the 2014 CIF NorCal Regional golf tournament in a sudden-death playoff after shooting a 2-under 70... Led DVHS to a second-place finish at the championship... Finished T-8th at CIF State Championships at Poppy Hills GC in Pebble Beach.
PERSONAL: Born in San Ramon, Calif... Parents are Matthew and Suzanne Kim... Proudest personal accomplishment took place when she built houses in Mexico with her church group during spring break... Just missed qualifying for the U.S. Women's Open in 2014, finishing fourth at sectional qualifying... Career sports highlight was winning NorCal championship during her junior year of high school... Title of her autobiography would be "Yoo need to hear about Yoonhee"... Take away everything but "My boots! I love boots!"
