2019-20: Started all seven of the Aggies’ regular season events, posting a team-high four top-25 finishes… Named the Big West Conference Golfer of the Month for September… Shared the team lead with a 75.37 stoke average over 19 rounds, posting a pair of rounds in the 60s and a team-best eight rounds at par or better… Was the top UC Davis finisher in each of the team’s first three tournaments of the year… Finished in a tie for third during a shortened stroke play at the East-West Match Play, ending the tournament with a 3-under 141 following rounds of 70 and 71… Opened the season with a seventh-place finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, finishing with a 4-under 212 — her lowest 54-hole score of the year… Tied for 13th during a weather-shortened Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational and finished in a tie for 22nd at the Molly Murphy Crowley Collegiate Invitational… Posted a season-low single-round score of 68 during the second round of the Westbrook Spring Invitational and added a 69 in the opening round in New Mexico.
2018-19: Competed in seven events throughout her junior season... Posted two rounds at par or under... Posted a career-low 68 during the second round of the Gunrock Invitational (3/4)... Opened the 2018-19 season with a 1-over 73 in the first round at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational (9/10-11)... Enjoyed a strong start to the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational (10/9-10) when she finished the opening round with a 1-under 71... Best individual result of the season also took place at that event when she finished tied for 19th at 10-over (226)... Tied for 20th overall, two tournaments later, by carding a 7-over at the Gunrock Invitational (3/4-5).
2017-18: Competed in nine events throughout her sophomore season… Posted the first top 10 finish of her career when she finished with a 6-over 222 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic… During that event, she posted a third round score of 69, her first sub-70 round, the lowest round of her career and second-lowest score among all Aggies during the 2017-18 season… That career-low figure took place three weeks after she set a new career best by finishing with a 70 in the second round of the Meadow Club Women’s Collegiate (3/5-6)… Third round at par, or lower, took place in the second round of the Branch Law Firm-Dick McGuire Invite, the team’s season opener, when she finished at even par… Helped UC Davis win at team championship at the Battle at the Rock (2/12-13) by finishing with an 8-over score for the event.
2016-17: Recognized by the WGCA as one of 952 women's collegiate golfers with a 3.5 GPA of higher... Finished with a season-best 25th place at the Big West Conference Championships (4/23-25)... Birdied three of the final six holes in the third round of the Meadow Club Women's Intercollegiate (3/6-7) to post the best performance by the Aggies of the day... Defeated her opponent at the East and West Match Play Challenge (9/18-20) when UC Davis faced Penn State.
MONTEVERDE ACADEMY '16: Played golf all four years… During her freshman year, she tied for eighth in the 2013 AJGA Girls Championship (73-75-72), tied for second in the 2013 North and South Junior Championship (70-70-74), and tied for fifth in the 2013 Joe Cheves Junior Invitational (73-69)… Competed in the Junior World Championship her sophomore year, as well as the PGA Junior Championship her senior year… As a junior, she tied for 15th in the Kathy Whitworth Invitational (76-71), and was third in the 2015 Sea Pines Junior Heritage Invitational… Earned Highest ranking (20th) in the 2016 class, and 100th overall by Polo Golf Ranking of AJGA in March of 2014… Outside of athletics, she was awarded with the Mayor’s Youth Volunteer Service Award in 2015.
PERSONAL: Born in Tokyo, Japan… Majoring in Psychology… Parents are Atsuko and Tsuguyoshi… An interesting fact about her is that she has lived in three different countries: Japan, Australia, and USA, and in six different locations: Tokyo (Japan), Sydney (Australia), New York (USA), Southern Carolina (USA), Florida (USA), and California (USA)... Sports hero is Japanese pro golfer Ai Miyazato... Eyeing a career as a professional golfer... Wishes she could've witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall... Top three things on her bucket list are: travel around the world, get a dog and visit the highest building in the world.
