FAIRFAX, Calif. - Sophomore Samantha Hutchison posted the Aggies' low round of the day with her 1-over-par 73 in first round, while freshman Yoonhee Kim closed out the second round as the team's top finisher, highlighting UC Davis action through the first 36 holes of the Meadow Club Women's Intercollegiate golf tournament Monday.

The Aggies finished the day in a tie for eighth place with Coastal Carolina at 28-over-par 604 Kim, a freshman from San Ramon, California, birdied three Par-5 holes as part of her 2-over 74 in the first round, then added a 76 in the second set of 18 holes to wrap up Monday's action at 6-over-par 150. She takes part in a five-way tie for 23rd place, one stroke ahead of senior teammate Paige Lee, who shot a 75 then a 76 for 7-over 151 day. Hutchison stormed to a strong start, recording birdies on three consecutive holes to post a 3-under on the back nine. She settled to a 4-over 40 on the front nine to post her 73, still good for 11th place on the individual leaderboard entering the second round. Hutchison then added a 79 in the second round to close out with a 36-hole total of 152, 8 over par and in a tie for 35th place. Freshmen Christine Danielsson and Rei Nakatani rounded out the Aggie lineup. Danielsson shot a 74 and an 80 to finish up at 10-over 154 and a share for 47th. Nakatani carded an 81 and a 77, ending Monday's rounds in a tie for 60th at 14-over 158. San Diego State leads the team race with a 6-over 582, just one stroke in front of Brigham Young's 583. Illinois' Chayanid Prapassarangkul had the low round of the day with her 3-under 69 in the first round, while her teammate Siyun Liu wrapped Monday's action as the overall individual leader at 3-under 141.
