Feb. 27, 2017 PEORIA, Ariz. - Sophomore Samantha Hutchison fired a 2-under-par 70 for the UC Davis' low round of Tuesday's final-day action at the Westbrook Spring Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin at the Westbrook Golf Club Vistas Course. The Aggies finished 11th as a team at 22-over 886.
Hutchison birdied three of the last four holes of the tournament's third round, jumping from 1-over to 2-under. She finished with a 54-hole total of 219, good for a tie for 23rd in the individual standings. Freshman teammate
Yoonhee Kim was the Aggies' top finisher for the tourney, carding a 1-under 71 to finish with a 217 total, tied for 19th overall. Kim also closed strong on Tuesday, scoring birdies on the fifth, eighth and ninth holes. Senior
Paige Lee finished at t31st with a 221 total. Freshman
Rei Nakatani had her best round of the tourney on Tuesday with a 2-over 74, moving her up seven places into a tie for 56th. Junior
Alexandra Zeng rounded out the Aggie lineup with a final score of 243. Nebraska's Aubrey Judd shot a 4-under 68 to edge Kansas State's Connie Jaffrey and Monday's leader Isabella DiLisio of Notre Dame for the individual medalist honor. K-State also captured the team title with a 3-under-par 861, four strokes ahead of Ohio State and Kansas. UC Davis returns to action at the Bay Area Classic, hosted by San Jose State and USF in Fairfax, California, from Mar. 6-7.
