DAVIS, Calif. - Senior Stephanie Stamates won the individual beam at 9.850 while Kara Jones, Alexis Brown and Katy Nogaki added 9.800 scores in the event to lead a UC Davis sweep, helping the Aggies toward a team total of 194.325 in a women's collegiate gymnastics triangular meet at the Pavilion in front of 1,277 Friday evening.

UC Davis placed second in the meet, trailing Boise State's winning 195.700 and finishing ahead of Mountain Pacific Sports Federation leaguemate Seattle Pacific, which went 189.900.

Stamates' score led a 49.025 on balance beam for the Aggies, tying the No. 4 score in school history on that apparatus. Sophomore Rachel Kreager opened the event with a 9.775, then Jones and Brown notched back-to-back 9.800s. Stamates followed with her 9.850 in the No. 5 slot of the order, then Nogaki's 9.800 helped UC Davis erase an early fall from the team scoring. The Aggies had a 145.725 total through three rotations, pulling them just behind Boise State's three-event total of 146.775.

UC Davis opened the meet with a 48.375 on vault, with Brown (9.700) and Nogaki (9.750) posting the team's highest scores. The Aggies followed with a 48.325 on bars in the second rotation. Senior Dani Judal posted a 9.800 while junior Yonni Michovska collected a 9.775 to lead that event. Brown anchored the bars lineup with a 9.700 as part of a strong overall three-event evening.

After the 49-point effort on beam, UC Davis managed a 48.600 on floor exercise. Sophomore Miranda Holder hit 9.775 in the leadoff spot, sophomore Amanda Presswood scored a 9.750 then freshman Yasmine Yektaparast went 9.800.

Boise State's Krystine Jacobsen won the individual all-around at 39.125, placed first on bars with a 9.875 and finished second behind teammate Sandra Collantes for the floor title. Seattle Pacific's Maria Hundley went 9.800 on vault to share that event championship with Bronco sophomore Mary Frances Bir.

UC Davis and Boise State will meet again in each team's next competition: a road triangular with Brigham Young on January 22.
