Jan. 15, 2016 Bruin Diving Invitational - Women's 1-meter results
LOS ANGELES -- UC Davis junior Serena Yee finished 25th during the preliminary round of the women's 1-meter competition to close out the first day of competition at the Bruin Diving Invitational hosted by UCLA on Friday morning at the Spieker Aquatics Center.
Yee scored a 223.60 to lead a packed group of Aggies in the top 30, finishing behind top qualifier, and eventual winner, Maria Polyakova of UCLA, who scored a 311.20 in the prelims and a total of 633.05 to claim the top spot.
Senior Audrey DeNeffe was 26th behind her teammate with a score of 219.25, and was followed closely by freshman Shaifali Goyal, who finished 27th with a score of 213.40. Sophomore Angelina Proshak in 29th (209.65), senior Lucy Lafranchise in 35th (198.20), and freshman Jessica Fernandez in 38th (192.50), rounded out the UC Davis sextet.
The competition continues on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with the women's 3-meter event. Results will be posted at DiveMeets.com and posted at UCDavisAggies.com as soon as possible following the competition.
