June 10, 2015 DAVIS, Calif. - Kate Henwood, a member of the UC Davis coaching staff since 2012, will resign from her position as the women's lacrosse head coach to pursue other professional opportunities, it was announced Wednesday by Interim Athletics Director Teresa Gould.
Henwood compiled an 18-30 overall record and a 9-17 mark in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation during her three-year tenure. The Aggies finished 4-13 overall this spring and 3-6 in the MPSF.
"I'd like to thank Kate for her tremendous work in our women's lacrosse program over the past three years. I appreciate the progress we made during her tenure and wish her well in her future endeavors," Gould said.
Gould said a national search for a new head coach will begin immediately.
