DAVIS, Calif. - Freshman Greta Kohlmoos scored on a back-handed shot with 44 seconds left in overtime to lead No. 11 UC Davis to an 11-10 win over Harvard, then freshman Heather Johnson netted four goals while sophomore goalie Olivia Husted recorded a career-high 17 saves to propel the Aggies to a 13-2 win over Fresno Pacific in a collegiate women's water polo doubleheader at Schaal Aquatics Center Monday.

The Aggies improve to 14-10 for the year.

Kohlmoos was one of three UC Davis players with two goals in the afternoon thriller against the Crimson. Fellow freshman Paige Virgil, who assisted on the game-winner, also had two scores. Sophomore Carla Tocchini opened the game with a goal, then hit an initial go-ahead on a counterattack early in the extra frame.

Senior Elsie Fullerton, sophomore Hannah Harvey and junior Sammi Murphy also had goals in the win over Harvard. The Aggies held a 4-2 lead through the first quarter, made it 5-2 on Fullerton's 6-on-5 goal early in the second, then climbed to as much as an 8-3 edge on Harvey's bar-in lob midway through the third.

After facing a 9-5 deficit, Harvard scored four unanswered in the span of six minutes to tie the contest. Sophomore attacker Alexis Del Toro buried her first shot of the game from up top to equalize at 9-9 with 3:03 left in regulation. Crimson senior goalie Ariel Dukes had four saves in the fourth quarter, plus two on Aggie power plays in the first overtime segment, and even blocked a five-meter penalty shot with 1:17 left in the second half of OT.

Del Toro notched her second goal on the next trip down after the blocked penalty shot, tying the game at 10-10 and threatening sudden-victory play. However, Virgil's dangerous outside shooting ability opened up some space for Kohlmoos at set. Virgil passed up to her teammate center, who delivered the winner. Aggie junior goalie Haley Cameron blocked Melissa Balding's shot at the opposite end, then held on for the final six seconds to secure the win.

In part because of the attrition of a 38-minute opener, UC Davis head coach Jamey Wright played almost exclusively his reserves in the nightcap against the Sunbirds. Besides Johnson's career-high offense, Murphy scored three goals while freshman Jill Bushman and sophomore Lauren Emge added two apiece.

In fact, the only Aggies to see significant time in both games were Murphy and Tocchini. Harvey entered the game in the final minutes, but only for the opportunity to play against her older sister, Kelsie, who guarded the Sunbird net with nine saves.

UC Davis led wire-to-wire in the 13-2 victory. Husted's net protection helped the defense hold FPU scoreless from the midpoint of the second quarter to the end. Her 17 saves is tied for fourth in school history, and the most since Riane Woods notched 18 almost exactly three years prior (Mar. 17, 2012 vs. Maryland).

The Aggies break for final examinations before returning to action at Stanford on March 29.
