DAVIS, Calif. -- UC Davis freshman Katherine Gallaher finished fifth overall to lead a group of seven Aggies among the top 20 on the women's side, while junior Luke Dorman crossed in 11th place to pace the men at the 2015 Doc Adams Open on Saturday morning at the Putah Creek Reserve Course in Davis, California.

Gallaher posted her best finish of the season, crossing the line in a collegiate 6K-best time of 22:17 and shaving nearly 15 seconds off her previous 6K best of 22:32.74 set at last weekend's Big West Conference championships.

Four other Aggies posted collegiate best times at the 6K distance on Saturday: freshman Megan MacGregor, racing for only the second time this season, was 15th in a time of 23:02, sophomore Jordan Mullins was just three seconds back in 16th in a time of 23:05, freshman Molly Rinefort was 17th in a time of 23:14, and freshman Lorena Mendoza in 26th crossed in a time of 24:38.

Freshman Natalie Cooper was the second Aggie across the line in 11th place, finishing with a time of 22:50 and helping pace a tight pack that included junior Olivia Goins, who set a season-best 6K with a time of 22:59 to finish 14th. Sophomore Elizabeth Greif (23:58), who paced UC Davis at last year's meet, joined them among the top 20, finishing 20th in a time of 23:58.

After finishing 18th at last year's event, Dorman paced a quartet of men in the 8K race, jumping seven spots in the standings and crossing the line in 11th place on Saturday in a collegiate-best time of 25:36.

Sophomore Oliver Abundez-Dominguez was the next Aggie across the line in 23rd with a time of 26:36, and was followed by freshman Jonathan Summer, who missed an 8K best by a second, finishing 29th with a time of 27:29. Freshman Josh Bernd rounded out the group, setting a collegiate best with a time of 28:12 and finishing 31st.

UC Davis returns to the course next Friday (Nov. 13), traveling to the Pacific Northwest to compete at the 2015 NCAA West Regionals hosted by the University of Washington in Seattle.
