FRONT-RUNNERS PACE AGGIES: Underclassmen and fresh faces have driven UC Davis' scoring output all autumn, led by front-runners
Dominic McMahon,
Peyton Adams, and
Gracie Trenam. Freshman McMahon paced the Aggie men across all three regular-season meets in his rookie campaign, highlighted by a 8K personal-best time of 24:17.9 to take 30th place at the UC Riverside Invitational.
On the women's side, sophomore Adams set the tone in the opening two competitions—taking 20th at the USF Invitational and 13th at Riverside with a 6K PR of 20:39.3—before junior Trenam led the Aggie women at the Bronco Invitational with a 6k PR of her own, with a time of 21:07.5 to take 22nd-place.
MW WEEKLY HONORS: UC Davis collected three Mountain West weekly awards during its inaugural regular season in the conference. McMahon became the first student-athlete in program history to earn an MW award after his performance at UC Riverside, eventually securing back-to-back Men's Freshman of the Week selections.
Trenam added to the hardware following the Bronco Invitational, shattering her 6K PR by over two minutes (21:07.5) to earn Women's Athlete of the Week honors.
SEASON SUCCESS: The Aggies put together their most complete team outings at the UC Riverside and Bronco Invitationals. UC Davis achieved a season-high 13 personal records in Riverside—contributing to 20 total PRs across the 2026 season.
At the Bronco Invitational finale, both squads demonstrated elite pack-running discipline, shrinking their 1-to-5 scoring spreads from 1:14+ at the season opener down to season-best gaps of 53.3 seconds for the women and 51.6 seconds for the men.
Riding momentum from three conference weekly awards and an underclassmen-driven lineup, UC Davis brings strong depth into its inaugural Mountain West postseason appearance.
