LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Juniors Hanna Tears and Lucy Lafranchise each posted top-20 finishes during the preliminary round of the women's platform on Monday morning, closing out competition at the Bruin Diving Invitational hosted by UCLA at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Los Angeles.

Tears led the way for the Aggies' sextet, scoring a 185.60 to finish 19th in the final event of the weekend, followed closely by her teammate Lafranchise, who was 20th with a score of 184.70. Both scores ranked among the top five by a UC Davis diver on the platform this season.

Junior Audrey DeNeffe, the school record-holder in the event, finished 23rd with a score of 174.95, and was followed by freshman Angelina Proshak (30th), senior Shannon Stewart (34th), and freshman Ani Vemury (35th).

USC's Haley Ishimatsu, who won the 3-meter competition to open the weekend, also claimed individual honors on the platform, scoring a 604.70 to easily out-distance UCLA's Annika Lenz (559.80).

The Aggies return to action this weekend, heading south for a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation dual at UC Santa Barbara on Saturday (Jan. 24) at 9 a.m.
