Nov. 23, 2014 TUCSON, Ariz. -- UC Davis juniors Lucy Lafranchise and Audrey DeNeffe each posted top-10 finishes on the platform, closing out the Aggies stay at the Wildcat Diving Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center in Tucson.
Lafranchise followed up her third place finish in the 3-meter consolation final with a seventh-place finish on the platform on Sunday, scoring a career-high 196.85 to top her previous best of 183.75 set at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships in 2013.
DeNeffe joined her in the top 10, finishing just behind her teammate in eighth by two-tenths of a point, scoring a 196.65. Junior Hanna Tears just missed joining them in the top 10, scoring a 191.45 to finish 11th.
Freshman Angelina Proshak (180.85) and sophomore Serena Yee (160.00) each posted collegiate bests on the platform, finishing 13th and 19th, respectively, while senior Shannon Stewart rounded out the UC Davis group with a score of 139.80.
The Aggies won't return to the poll until Dec. 4, sending a swimming contingent to the Lone Star State to compete in the three-day Texas Hall of Fame Invitational hosted by the University of Texas at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
