DAVIS, Calif. - Junior attacker Jakie Kohli scored five goals, all after the halftime break, to lead 15th-ranked Indiana to a 15-13 overtime victory over 16th-ranked UC Davis in a non-conference collegiate women's water polo action at Schaal Aquatics Center Friday afternoon.

The Aggies even their mark to 3-3 overall. The Hoosiers improve to 3-2.

Sophomore Jessica Dunn led UC Davis with five goals, all from outside and three on 6-on-5 opportunities. Junior Dakotah Mohr added three goals while Ariel Feeney chipped in two. Sophomore Riane Woods tallied nine saves in front of the Aggie cage, including three in the extra frames.

Indiana received two goals each from Nicole Redder, Kara Butler and Kelsey Campbell.

UC Davis held a 7-6 lead at halftime, breaking the tie when Feeney finished a long counterattack with 37 seconds remaining in the second. Dunn converted an extra-player situation on the Aggies' opening possession to pad the lead to 8-6. But Kohli scored in transition a minute later and Campbell sent a short lob into the UC Davis cage to tie the contest at 8-8. The Hoosiers then took their first lead since the opening goal, drawing a five-meter penalty shot, which Kohli converted.

The Aggies equalized twice in the fourth quarter, first on a Dunn 6-on-5 goal with 4:56 remaining. IU took a two-goal lead when Shae Fournier fired from almost mid-tank. The ball hit the left post and appeared to stand on the plane of the goal before trickling into the cage.

Mohr responded with a 6-on-5 goal at the 2:05 mark, then sophomore Carmen Eggert took an assist from Kaylee Miller with exactly a minute to go. Woods made saves against Meghan Lappan and Hoosier goalie Cassie Wyckoff to send the game into overtime.

Midway in the first overtime, Dunn scored her fifth goal to give UC Davis its first lead since the third quarter. Woods incurred a five-meter exclusion to thwart an IU attack but stopped the five-meter shot. However, Kohli completed a counterattack to tie the game at 13-13 with 40 ticks left in the frame, and Campbell scored on a 6-on-5 with seconds left in the fifth. Kohli scored on a lob with 54 seconds remaining in the second overtime, effectively sealing the game for the Hoosiers.

Save for its alumnae game on February 19, UC Davis does not play a contest until the UCI Invitational on February 26-27.
