SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UC Davis women's swimming and diving team split in a double dual meet at San Diego State, taking a 159-141 win over Colorado State while falling 175-120 to the host Aztecs on Saturday at the Aztec Aquaplex.
UC Davis moved to 4-2 on the season with the split, while San Diego State improved to 6-0 and Colorado State fell to 2-3 for the year.
Liliana Alvarez had multiple event wins for the Aggies in the 100 yard (1:04.33) and 200 yard breaststroke (2:19.39). UC Davis also had individual event wins from Kayleigh Foley in the 50 yard freestyle (24.03) and Katie Edwards in the 200 yard IM (2:05.90).
UC Davis managed to finish 1-2-4 in the 100 yard breaststroke and dominate the 200 yard IM with a 1-2-3 finish. In relay events, the Aggies finished second in both the 200 yard medley relay and 400 yard freestyle relay.
In diving events, Katherine Gonsalves had a team best score of 211.60 in the one meter event, while Jennifer Meyer had a team high of 218.75 in the three meter event.
UC Davis will be back in action tomorrow, competing in another double dual meet against Loyola Marymount and San Diego.
