Cal State Fullerton (10-34, 5-7 Big West) did most of its damage in the second inning when it scored four early runs. The Titans held that lead into the sixth when they added two more to claim a 6-0 advantage.
UC Davis tried to rally in the top of the seventh and ended up scoring three runs. Kylie Fan started the frame with a single, and Marissa Araujo followed with a single. A groundout by Heather Zimmerman advanced the runners to second and third and set up a run-scoring single by Harman. With two outs, Santana added an RBI-single to pull the Aggies within 6-2. Gonzalez capped off the scoring with another single to drive in Harman with the Aggies' final run.
With the series win, UC Davis has won each of the three complete Big West series it has played. The Aggies will next be in action Wednesday afternoon when they take on Pacific in a single game. That contest will be the final game of their series with the Tigers that was cut short on April 11 due to rain. UC Davis will then host UC Riverside Saturday and Sunday in another crucial Big West series.
