Mickey Buscemi Earns CSC Academic All-District Distinction

DAVIS, Calif. – UC Davis softball's Mickey Buscemi earned 2025 Academic All-District honors as announced today, May 27, by the College Sports Communicators as part of the full roll out of their softball academic postseason awards.
 
Buscemi led the 2025 Aggies in hits (44) and doubles (seven) and she finished second on the team with six stolen bases and 55 total bases. She batted .299 on the season, starting 49 games in center field, while smacking a pair of triples and scoring 18 runs.
 
The Aggie centerfielder was earned All-Big West honorable mention honors following the season.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
To qualify for CSC Academic honors the following criteria must be met –
  • Academic eligibility minimums: An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
  • The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.
