RIVERSIDE, Calif. - UC Davis closed out its road trip in dominant fashion Sunday with a 6-1 victory at UC Riverside in a Big West Conference women's tennis match at the SRC Tennis Courts. The Aggies won two out of three in doubles while also winning five times in singles. Desiree Stone, Ellie Edles and Dahra Zamudio all picked up two wins on the day.

UC Davis (3-7, 1-3 Big West) won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Stone and Herzyl Legaspi teamed at No. 1 to defeat Angelique Corpuz and Roxanne Plata, 8-2. Edles and Zamudio anchored the No. 2 spot and went on to defeat Donna McCullough and Nadia Sakhakorn, 9-7. UCR (2-7, 0-4 Big West) posted a win at No. 3.

It was nearly a clean sweep in singles for the Aggies. Zamudio played at No. 1 and defeated Sakhakorn, 6-1, 6-2. Stone posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 2 against Taylor Raney. Curry cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 against Natalie McKay. Edles won in three sets at No. 5, and Shawdee Rouhafza disposed of Plata at No. 6, 6-3, 7-6.

UC Davis returns to action Thursday afternoon against San Jose State at 1:30 p.m. The contest starts a stretch of eight straight matches at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
