AUSTIN, Texas - Members of the UC Davis swim team completed three days of competition at the USA Swimming Grand Prix at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas.

During Friday's competition, Jeremy Smith turned in a time of 4:09.62 in the prelims of the 400 individual medley while Zach Hansen advanced to the finals of the 100 breaststroke after clocking in at 58.26 in the event prelims. Hansen finished 25th in the event finals.

Adam Yen recorded a time of 52.71 in the prelims of the 100 backstroke and advanced to the event finals where he finished 38th.

Josef Stitts led three Aggies in the 200 freestyle, with a prelim time of 1:40.37. He finished 21st overall in the 200 free finals. Jason Singh turned in a prelim time of 1:41.01 while Smith recorded a time of 1:44.90. Singh went on to finish 24th in the finals.

For the women, Victoria Pichay recorded a time of 59.55 in the prelims of the 100 backstroke and clocked in at 1:59.39 in the 200 freestyle.

On Saturday, Pichay finished with a time of 2:10.55 in the prelims of the 200 backstroke and recorded a time of 53.85 in the 100 freestyle.

For the men, Singh clocked in at 1:55.25 in the prelims of the 200 backstroke while Stitts finished 20th in the 100 freestyle after recording a time of 45.96 in the prelims to advance.

Hansen finished 13th in the 200 breaststroke after earning a time of 2:05.27 in the event prelims while Yen was 15th in the 200 butterfly. He clocked in at 1:52.04 in the prelims to advance while Smith finished with a prelim time of 1:52.85.

The men's and women's teams will prepare for the NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championship. The women's meet will be held in West Lafayette, Ind. March 18-20 while the men's competition is Mar. 25-27 in Columbus, Ohio.
