LONG BEACH, Calif. - The UC Davis women's swimming team finished in 14th place after the final day of action at the Toshiba Classic Saturday in Long Beach, Calif.
Grace Benefield led the Aggies in the first event of the day, finishing 18th in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:25.71. Kathryn Jovino turned in a time of 18:01.29 to finish 37th.
In the 200 backstroke, Katelyn Griffin recorded a time of 2:06.67 in the event prelims to advance to the finals where she placed 32nd with a time of 2:08.52.
Kayleigh Foley advanced to the finals of the 100 freestyle after clocking in at 51.78 in the prelims. She finished 19th with a final time of 51.40. Ashley Chandler recorded a time of 52.32 in the event and Linda Hermann clocked in at 52.95.
Morgan Lee was UC Davis' top finisher in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:28.06. Alyssa Britt finished with a time of 2:29.11.
Jenah Dawson paced the Aggies in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:10.45 while Jodi Hanson clocked in at 2:13.76.
The 400 free relay squad of Chandler, Hermann, Griffin and Foley finished 12th overall with a time of 3:31.10.
UC Davis will next compete at the Texas Invitational Dec. 3-5 in Austin, Texas.
