Water Polo Splits Day One At Triton Invite

Sept. 6, 2008

LA JOLLA, Calif. - Senior utility Adam Bennett scored a total of four goals as 11th-ranked UC Davis split its Day 1 games at the Triton Invitational men's collegiate water polo tournament at UC San Diego's Canyonview Aquatics Center Saturday afternoon. Bennett and fellow senior Paul Wilson both recorded hat tricks while sophomore Aaron Salit and senior Grant Muenter each added two to lead UC Davis to a 14-2 win over Pomona-Pitzer in Saturday's early action. Sagehen sophomore scored the first of his two goals early in the game to tie the score at 1-1, but the Aggies scored 12 unanswered into the fourth period to pull away to the victory.
