DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis won its third straight match, Friday, with a 7-0 win over visiting Sonoma State at the Marya Welch Tennis Center. The Aggies won two out three in doubles and swept all six singles matches. The win improves UC Davis to 3-3 on the year while the Seawolves fell to 0-2.

In doubles, Robin Guier and Randi Schuler defeated Stephanie Luk and Casey O'Connor, 8-2, at No. 1. The other win for the Aggies came at No. 2 where Andrea Phillips and Emma Shapiro posted an 8-3 victory over Mary Bulich and Haley Hickock. That clinched the first point of the match for UC Davis.

In singles, the Aggies won in straight sets in all matches. Schuler was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No.1, and Herzyl Legaspi posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 2 over O'Connor. Kaitlin Callan and Anita Athavale both picked up wins at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Jenna Kappel and Sidney Brady rounded out the Aggies' victories in singles.

UC Davis returns to action Saturday morning when it takes on No. 9 Cal in Berkeley at 10 a.m.
