FULLERTON, Calif. - Titan forward Scott Cutley scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds Thursday night as Cal State Fullerton hung on for an 84-77 victory over the UC Davis men's basketball team at Titan Gym in Fullerton, Calif.
With the win, Cal State Fullerton improves to 15-4 overall and 10-0 at home this season while the Aggies fall to 4-14 overall.
Aggie senior Thomas Juillerat had his hands full with Cutley, but offensively, Juillerat led UC Davis with 22 points on 11-of-18 shooting. He added six rebounds.
"It got away from us a little in the second half, but in the first half it was back and forth," Juillerat said. "There as good an offensive team I've seen in the Big West. [Cutley] outplayed me so I have to take full responsibility for that."
In the first half, the Aggies took a quick 4-0 lead on two inside baskets by Juillerat. The Titans then called a time out and Cutley scored 10 points in the next four minutes to put Fullerton up 10-7. UC Davis was able to tie the game at 13 on a jumper by Shane Hanson at 10:36, but the Titans went on an 6-0 run to take a 19-13 lead and never trailed again.

Cutley made the difference in the game as he connected on 14-of-16 shots from the floor but only 5-of-11 from the foul line as he and Juillerat battled head-to-head at both ends of the floor. It was the fourth consecutive double-double for Cutley, who leads the Big West Conference with eight.
The Aggies continued to see impressive offensive numbers as they shot 51 percent from the field in the first half and 48 percent in the game. They were 11-of-13 from the free throw line while the Titans struggled, going 12-for-22.
Fullerton shot 57 percent from the floor, including 64 percent in a first half as it led 40-35 at halftime despite a three at the buzzer by Ellis.
